It can be used like filter EMI and/or radio frequency RFI, as protection from extra-tensions and/or extra-currents, for connections to the electrical network (mains) or for the telephone lines (telecom).
Moreover you will have the possibility to verify the enforced norms on arresters (EN60099-1 arresters) (EN61000-4-5 surge).
